We are a small family run business on the Cambridgeshire/Norfolk Border offering accomodation comprising of B&B or rooms only. We are set in 2.5 acres overlooking fields. We have an ornamental carp lake with picnic and BBQ area for use of our guests. We feel we are ideal for quiet get away from it all breaks, although we are only 35 minutes drive from Cambridge and peterborough and only 15 minutes drive to Ely and Wisbech. We reccomend your own transport although we do have good taxi services. All rooms have Tea/Coffee making facilities. Some rooms are shared bathrooms or shower rooms. We also have a large family room that sleeps 5 with en suite shower room. Travel cots available(please bring your own cot blankets etc. ) We are a small rural village adjacent to the sixteen foot drain. The local drain and rivers are said to be some of the best fishing in the country. The local town centre of March is a 5 minute drive. We also have a local childrens activity centre and microlight centre both within 10 minutes drive, (reservations reccomended) prior to your stay info can be provided. We are also 10 minutes drive from the ouse washes reserve and the wildfowl and wetlands centre.The area also has very good cycling and walking routes to suit everyones needs.Payment on arrival by cash or credit card.:

Lamb Hotel

The History of the Lamb Hotel dates back to the time of King Richard II. In the year 1416 Bishop Fordham mentions the Inn in a survey he made of all his properties in Ely. Sitting in the shadows of Ely's splendid cathedral tower, the Lamb Hotel dates back to the 15th century and retains its traditional atmosphere as a thriving coaching inn. This famous historic city is a tourist paradise with the magnificent cathedral a must see. Just as the cathedral is a recognizable feature of the distinctive fen landscape so too is the The Lamb Hotel. The Lamb boasts 31 comfortable en-suite rooms, all of which are non smoking. The narrow old streets of Ely house medieval gateways, timbered houses and a parkland sweeping down to the lovely River Great Ouse, where there are boating and fishing facilities. Historically there is much to see with the fine cathedral, Cromwell's house and the history of local saints such as St Etheldreda. Cambridge is nearby and offers other historic buildings and good shopping. Newmarket, famous for horse racing, is just 12 miles away. The Lamb Hotel can now offer free WiFi.

The Red LIon is a Country Inn built in the 1700s with beamed ceilings and open fires. Although the Inn is located in the heart of the country we are 2 miles away from the A5 with close proximity to M69 (one minuite) M1 and M6 and 'so called Middle England' due to the crossing of Watling Street and the Fosse Way, a car park taking up to 35 cars, The Red Lion is well known for its comfortable, freindly atmosphere with recently refurbished bedrooms which are all ensuite with in room tea & coffee, television and full English breakfast (paid seperatley). We have guests staying with us who work at The National Exhibition Centre, Magna Park, Lutterworth, Coventry and Rugby, We also accommodate divers who visit Stoney Cove (one minite) and both drivers and enthusiasts going to Mallory Park and Bruntingthorpe.
